Today was a travel day! I was heading back to Bristol after a week away and I have to say, there are very limited options in terms of meal deals that are suitable for vegetarians and lactose intolerant people! It obviously didn’t help that I was in the middle of nowhere and there were about 4 sandwich choices. I think I made the clever choice of going with the stale cheese and tomato!
It has been rather disappointing to see the very limited options for vegetarians and vegans or those with dietary requirements in terms of meal deals. Something that is supposed to make a busy day about 5% easier, ends up being even more of a mission!
I think I may plan ahead in the future to avoid that from happening again!

Hi Kiera, It's Leonie from cCHANGE here. Great to read your posts and what you learnt in the first week, among other things that there are a lot of vegetarian choices in supermarkets and a lack of choices when traveling. I wonder why the roadside cafes have not caught up with the supermarkets? Could it be convenience, economics, or it's just hard to change their habits? How is it going with being vegetarian otherwise? Have you managed to integrate it into your life? Did you need to plan more? What about the people around you - your flatmates for example? It was lovely to read that you went shopping together in the first post. They sound supportive. What do they think of you doing this challenge? Have you inspired any of them to join you for the month? Thanks for your posts so far! Best wishes, Leonie Respond

Hi Kiera, Leonie here. Day 30! Congratulations! How has your challenge been going lately? Have you managed to eat mostly vegetarian in March? It would be wonderful if you could give us a little update now at the end of the 30 days. What did you learn about yourself? About change? It doesn't have to be long and it doesn't have to be perfect, if things didn't go to plan. I really want to acknowledge your commitment to the challenge over the last 30 days and your reflections. It was interesting reading your posts and reflecting on how people around us support our change making. I will keep that in mind for when others around me are trying to make positive changes. Hope to see you at the wrap up on Friday. Warm wishes, Leonie Respond
