I want to document (and hope to reduce) all my landfill waste.

Day 1: Sent to landfill

But this, I am afraid, was left over from last week’s recycling (ie it was not collected) and so is my first item of the month to the landfill … not even really sure what it is …

Hi Alf, Leonie here! Great to see your posts and reflections so far. I am so impressed by this challenge you are taking on. And the discoveries you have already made on how to remove the plastic film from landfill waste. How are you organizing this? Do you save the landfill rubbish to one side and then take the pictures at a certain times? The picture above looks like the lid to a disposable coffee cup or is it a platsic bowl? Does that code tell you how to recycle it? My cousin in Leeds works in sustainable packaging design, I could ask him :) I am looking forward to following your posts and reading what you learn during the challenge.
