It has been an incredible 10 days so far. Being part of the change is indeed a powerful feeling. So far, I spend more than two hours without electricity daily, I read a lot about climate change and justice and I also advocate my friends back in Nigeria about their approach to nature and recycling. Sometimes, I spend time with nature, from resting on tree bark to a seat in the park. Interestingly, I talk to nature now- maybe because I am trying to form a friendship with her. It is interesting to know how small changes can reduce our ecological footprints. I spend time reading and looking outside my window. Nature is Kind, she deserves kindness and friendship.

Hi Mercy, Leonie here from cCHANGE. So great to read your reflections and about the way you talk and relate to nature. It sounds like you are noticing some benefits from this challenge already. Have you managed to get into more of a routine? You mentioned this was a challenge in your earlier comments. I'm curious, what do your friends and family in Nigeria think of you doing this challenge? Did you know that Yifan and Loz are also reading and sharing articles on Climate Justice for their challenges - they are posting some good summaries. Our co-founder, Karen O'Brien often talks about the importance of thinking about relationships when it comes to sustainability - how we relate to nature, to ourselves and others, to the things we consume - your challenge reminded me of this. Through this challenge you seem to be strengthening your relationship with nature. When a person feels like they are one with nature, perhaps they want to care for it and protect it more? What would it be like if we could all do this? (You can read her article here: https://cchange.no/2020/03/relationship-crisis/). Thanks for the posts and great pictures! Best, Leonie Respond

Hi Mercy, Leonie here. Day 30! Congratulations! How has your challenge been going lately? Have you managed to go without electricity for an hour a day and advocate for climate justice. It would be wonderful if you could give us a little update now at the end of the 30 days. What did you learn about yourself during the last 30 days? What did you learn about making change? It doesn't have to be long, and it doesn't have to be perfect, if things haven't quite gone to plan. Thanks so much for joining the challenge, experimenting, and reflecting on what it takes to make sustainable and equitable change in the world. It was inspiring to read your posts! Hope to see you at the wrap up on Friday. Warm wishes, Leonie Respond
